"Let me in your bedroom door, before I can't buzz no more..."

Swirling sounds of orchestras, springtime, and sex mix with the melancholy of americana soul and unrequited love.  Confusing ardor with the bees' need to pollinate and spread spring's color, this is the story of a would-be lover running out of patience… or is it time?

Recorded at Mason Jar Music in Bushwick, Brooklyn, "Beard of Bees" features swirling organs, strings, and backwards guitars, all dancing atop a soulful groove. buzz buzz buzz…

lyrics

Oh sugar don’t taste so sweet

Sugar don’t taste like sugar no more

I sip a cold cup of tea

A bitter brew is all they pour

Stir me up I’m a beard of bees

Buzzing round your bedroom door

Let me in, I’m crying

Let me in, I’m dying

Let me in your bedroom door… before I can’t buzz no more

Lately I don’t trust my feet

They lead me back where I’ve been before

Oh, I’d steer clear of these old streets

But these foolish feet lead me to your door

Stir me up I’m a beard of bees

Buzzing round your bedroom door

Let me in, I’m crying

Let me in, I’m dying

Let me in your bedroom door… before I can’t buzz no more

I’m the humming on the wind

I’m the sweet that likes to sting

I’m every flower’s friend

I’m sugar on the wind

Mmm mmm mmm

And all these people come and bother me

Dressed in nets and cloaked in smoke

They come to take what’s mine for free

They cut my comb and watch the honey pour

Stir me up I’m a beard of bees

Buzzing round your bedroom door

Let me in, I’m crying

Let me in, I’m dying

Stir me up I’m a beard of bees

Buzzing round your bedroom door

Let me in, I’m crying

Let me in, I’m dying

Let me in your bedroom door… before I can’t buzz no more

Let me in your bedroom door… before I can’t buzz no more
